It is my great honor to present OUMO's flagship series: the Chinese Lacquer Handles.
Unlike our previous releases, this time we collaborated with YUFAN Chinese Lacquer Studio. YUFAN is responsible for the lacquer application and color work, while we handle the final polishing and finishing.
YUFAN has created ten creative series for us — each one unique, each radiating a distinct oriental charm.
Every piece is purely handmade, including the final color grinding. The surfaces retain the traces of traditional handicraft — a deliberate contrast to our modern machining, and a return to tradition.
The inlay materials are also exceptional: eggshell, and abalone shell.
Production began in April of this year. Seven months later, this batch is finally complete — a testament to time and craftsmanship.
We are honored to bring more traditional Chinese aesthetics to our work, so that you may better appreciate the breadth and depth of Chinese culture. I believe these are not merely works of art — they are vessels for thousands of years of Chinese cultural heritage.
