The Exceed handle series reaches its sixth iteration.
From Exceed-1 through Exceed-6, I have consistently followed a "less is more" design philosophy — striving to express profound beauty through the simplest of lines.
The inspiration for Exceed-6 was entirely serendipitous. While ordering an air purifier online, I was captivated by the lines of one particular product. That simple, elegant form lingered in my mind — so much so that I fired up CAD in the early hours of the morning to start designing.
The first draft was not perfect. Its extreme simplicity lacked sufficient visual weight. To address this, I added a subtle groove and introduced more intricate lines at the base. The interplay between large, clean surfaces and small areas of complex detail is what ultimately shaped the final design of Exceed-6.
(A note on the initial production run of approximately 15 units: an issue arose when the CAD file was imported into Mastercam, causing noticeable compression of the lines. As a result, this first batch did not match the original design specifications. These units will be sold as factory seconds.)
The gap between Exceed-6 and its predecessor, Exceed-5, is likely the shortest interval in the history of the series. Inspiration often works this way — it can flash into your mind at any moment, and if not captured immediately, it can be gone forever.
Unlike previous entries in the Exceed line, Exceed-6 will launch in multiple versions simultaneously: Classic, Resin, and Glaze.
More complex limited editions will follow at a later date.
