The Exceed series of handles welcomes its sixth iteration.
From Exceed-1 through Exceed-6, I have consistently adhered to the "less is more" design philosophy, striving to express profound beauty through the simplest lines.
The inspiration for Exceed-6 was quite serendipitous. While ordering an air purifier online, I was captivated by the lines of a particular product. This simple yet elegant form lingered in my mind, prompting me to fire up CAD in the early morning hours to begin designing.
The initial draft wasn't perfect – its extreme simplicity lacked sufficient visual impact. To address this, I incorporated a subtle groove and employed intricate lines for the base. The interplay of large, clean surfaces and small areas of complex detailing ultimately shaped the final design of Exceed-6.
(During the initial production run (approximately 15 units), an issue arose with the CAD program interfacing with Mastercam, resulting in noticeable compression of the lines. Consequently, this first batch was not produced according to the original design specifications. These units will ultimately be sold as factory seconds.)
The time between the release of Exceed-6 and its predecessor, Exceed-5, is likely the shortest interval in the history of the Exceed series. Inspiration often strikes this way – it may flash into your mind at any moment, and if not captured immediately, it can be fleeting.
Unlike previous entries in the Exceed line, Exceed-6 will launch simultaneously in multiple versions, including Classic, Resin, and Glaze.
More complex limited editions will be introduced at a future date.
