We owe you a sincere apology: our Exceed Honeycomb Limited Edition will not be ready as scheduled. Craftsmanship is currently at approximately 80% completion, so for now we can only share these sneak peek photos. The truth is, we have been burning the midnight oil every day — but we hit unexpected roadblocks, and the time crunch has been relentless.
The "Metamorphosis Saga" of Stabilized Wood
We revised the thickness three times. The initial 1.5 mm sections at the thinnest point warped every single time, costing us multiple batches of material. After endless adjustments, we finally settled on 3 mm.
Choosing the exterior material was equally agonizing. Lab-grown turquoise was rejected at the prototype stage. Ebonite had the perfect texture, but we ultimately gambled on stabilized wood — little did we know this would open Pandora's box.
The Bee That Nearly Drove Us Mad
Our original plan called for 3D CNC carving of the bee, requiring hundreds of hours of programming. Chased by deadlines, we reluctantly switched to laser engraving. It slightly compromises the original vision — but time waits for no one.
The Core Material: Another Tricky Beast
Initial turquoise designs failed dimensional checks. Ebonite patterns were too dominant, overwhelming the hive motif. After endless trials, we landed on minimalist acrylic — which finally lets the honeycomb design shine.
Why We Keep Going
Every innovation feels like conquering dungeon levels — but this time, we triggered hidden stages. Redesigns, material swaps, prototype trials: every tiny detail could mean starting from scratch. It has been grueling, but we never lose sight of why the Hive series exists: to create soulful, original designs.
The team is now in turbo mode. If all goes well, everything should be completed by next Wednesday. We know the wait has been long — but trust us, it will be worth it the moment you hold this masterpiece in your hands.
