To celebrate OUMO’s 9th anniversary, we are excited to introduce the eighth handle in the Exceed series—named the Exceed-9, in honor of this milestone.
The design continues the signature segmented style of the Exceed line, but with a more widely appealing aesthetic compared to previous generations. Inspired by the elegant curves of ancient Chinese Ru kiln vases, the Exceed-9 blends grace with practicality, emphasizing fluid, beautiful lines.
Notably, this marks the first time the Exceed series features a triple-segment construction, accented with a copper ring, resulting in a handle composed of five distinct parts. The launch edition incorporates a variety of materials and finishes, including Ebonite, Foil Gilding, and Glaze, for a rich, tactile experience.
We are also beginning to explore PEI as a primary handle material—a high-stability, premium engineering plastic widely used in EDC and knife handle communities. This step allows us to examine PEI’s potential in wet shaving tools. By combining stronger, more stable materials with refined craftsmanship, we aim to create products that are both durable and visually advanced.
