The ST-3 is entering its global community evaluation phase to finalize the last round of parameter tuning and optimization.
Following the successful model of the ST‑2, this test will again use a blind testing mechanism: each tester receives a brush engraved with a unique number on the base. That number corresponds to a specific combination of density, shape, and loft settings — ensuring honest, unbiased feedback.
📦 Test Sample Overview
A total of 48 test brushes will be distributed, covering 16 different parameter configurations, with 3 brushes per configuration.
All test brushes share a 25 mm knot size and include the following variables:
- 2 densities
- 2 knot shapes
- 2 fiber blends
- 2 loft settings
The two fiber blends are the core distinction of this round:
- Blend A – emphasizes central support, backbone, and softness
- Blend B – emphasizes easier splay and a textured, grippy feel
Based on real‑world feedback from the global community, we will lock in the final production parameters.
🧪 Tester Selection Criteria
Due to limited spots, we are following the same screening model used for the ST‑2, weighted in this order:
- Shaving experience (most important)
- Community influence
- Existing OUMO customer status

What You Get

📝 Test Report Guidelines

- KOLs / YouTubers can submit a link to your review post or video instead of a written report.
- Other testers are encouraged to follow the OUMO internal testing protocol below:
- Visual appearance – Color, shape, compatibility with different handle styles and materials
- First dry feel – Tactile feedback and elasticity when dry
- Water retention test – Fully soak the brush, let it drip until it stops, then squeeze and measure retained water (a precision scale is recommended)
- Lathering test – Efficiency and creaminess of lather, compatibility with different soap types (compare with similar brushes if possible)
- Face lathering test – Actual face use, evaluating feel, resilience, and comfort
- Lather hold test – Observe whether lather easily drips off the bristles compared to similar brushes
- Drying test – Record drying time both naturally and with a blow dryer (can compare with similar brushes)
- High‑intensity use test – Use 4–7 times within one week to assess durability and consistency

Every report will be internally rated.
Outstanding testers will automatically become priority candidates for future OUMO product tests.
