Deciding to make ‘Kirin’ was a very difficult decision.
Because we have been promoting the development of new processing technologies in recent years, we have a certain resistance to traditional technologies or natural, unprocessed badger hair itself.
However, oumo has always spared no effort to meet the requirements of customers.
As more and more customers wanted to try this unprocessed natural badger hair, we finally decided to launch ‘Kirin’.
It is different from the traditional processing method of natural badger hair.
In order to get rid of the needle-prick feeling of natural badger, we have carried out 8 selected processes. The purpose is to remove as much miscellaneous hair as possible and the discomfort caused by badger hair without hair tips, while ensuring that every badger hair is perfect. complete.
At the same time, we conducted multiple rounds of tests and finally ensured the ultimate density, because the dense touch of extreme density can not only increase the backbone, but this dense touch also eliminates the strong scratching to a certain extent.
In order to increase the free backbone this time, we appropriately increased the height of the hair knot from 70mm to 72mm. More free backbone can retain more elasticity and make it easier to splay.
This is a brand new attempt and will definitely bring a different feeling.

The Kirin knot is absolutely outstanding! I picked up the 25 mm version, but after measuring it with a caliper, it actually seems a bit larger—which is a nice bonus. The tips are incredibly soft and feel fantastic on the skin, making each shave a real pleasure.
One tip for the best performance: let it soak a little longer before use. Since the knot doesn’t have treated tips, giving it around 10 minutes in water (instead of just 3) makes a huge difference in softness and performance. It whips up lather effortlessly and has given me some of the best shaving sessions I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

The knot was perfect and very high quality. So oft but adequate back bone. It is my go to badger brush, very well made and comfortable. The handle pairs well, nice looking and great fit in my hand. I do recommend thoroughly cleaning the badger before use. Once cleaned you will love this knot!!
I love how this knot feels and performs as I use my two Kirins for face lathering. My collection is large and includes Shavemacs, Mozingos, Semogue Limited Editions, SV 2.0 and Limited Editions, and other high end knots and brushes. I don't know quite how to compare the Kirin with any of them. The Kirin is its own thing, and unique in my experience, but the Kirin Super Badger surely holds its own against top tier knots.
Soft and dense. It has not been processed in any way. I am obsessed with this original touch. Easy to splay. And it's also very efficient.
